For a long time, I thought strength meant standing alone.
Keeping the walls up. Staying “in control.”

Then I watched The Lego Batman Movie again — and realized that even the most guarded heroes eventually face the same truth.

As the electronic keys of Gone Gone / Thank You echo in the background, we hear Batman’s voice:

“It’s gonna be okay, kid. Sometimes losing people is part of life.”

For a second, everything freezes.
Then he adds,

“But that doesn’t mean you stop letting them in.”

That pause changes everything.
The music fades back in — soft, patient — as Batman admits he learned this from Alfred, from Barbara, from Robin.
And finally, he says:

“This is my family. But it’s your family too.”

That line hit me harder than I expected.
Because it’s not just about Batman — it’s about anyone who’s ever pushed people away out of fear of losing them again.
We convince ourselves that solitude protects us.
But in reality, it only keeps the pain on loop.

When I edited this scene, I wanted to let that message breathe — to remind myself (and anyone watching) that connection isn’t weakness.
It’s the thing that saves you when strength alone can’t.

~Till next time, try to apply what we talked about:

You don’t heal by closing off.
You heal by letting people in.
